Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students at the time of the application. We are especially looking for bright ambitious students, who are likely to succeed in areas such as the media, academia, politics, writing or business.

If you would like to apply to take part in Freedom Week, please e-mail us asap or in any event by 3 June 2008:

4 other supporting evidence as to why you would be suitable to be
included in the programme (must be concise!);
Procedure
Your application will be considered by Freedom Alliance and by academics as and when they come in. The 30 successful students will receive a letter inviting them to participate in the seminar. They will be asked to confirm their participation.
Address
Please e-mail your application to: jp@jpfloru.com ( please put "Application [your name]" in the subject box)
Late applications
You can substantially increase your chances of being accepted by sending in your application now. In view of the large numbers of applications which come in, we cannot guarantee that late applications (after the 3 June deadline) will be considered.
Reserve list
A number of people who were not immediately offered a place may be asked to be on the waiting list. This is the list from which candidates will be chosen should any of the participants drop out. This may mean that you will be offered a place near the start of the seminar (on one occasion one person was offered a place two days before the start of the seminar).
"I am delighted to endorse the ‘Freedom Week’ proposal. Some of us at the IEA have been involved in similar seminars in the United States for over 20 years and host an annual reunion for alumni of the American programmes who are living in Europe. The format of intense seminars and evening discussions with excellent faculty has inspired generations of students and the worldwide network individuals, many of whom visit us and write for us, is proof of their success."
